An extraordinary and modern, single family home constructed by Home as Art, Inc. The project build commenced in November 2013 and was completed in October 2016.

Inspired by the flowing form of the Manta Ray, this Winn Wittman and Alfred Mojica design is located in the hills of West Austin. Manta Haus was designed to harmonize with the profile of the hill-top and to take advantage of the panoramic views of the skyline and river. The curvilinear roof is clad in diamond-shaped zinc panels which mimic the texture of the Manta Ray's skin. Despite the unique form the interior remains quite functional while also being highly expressive.

The home contains approximately 17,600 square feet of energy-efficient living area, with grand living room overlooking the Austin skyline, centered on the Capital and featuring views over the large wet-edge pool below. The exterior curves are covered in vertical strips of limestone in varying thicknesses and punctuated by long strip windows. The home is inspired by the curve -- not the rigid geometric curve drawn my man, but rather the sinuous curve found in nature and her rivers and hills.
